Implications of Diversity

“Come, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. So Jehovah scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off building the city.” Genesis 11:7-8

Diversity is touted as a very good thing these days.  If so, why was the Tower of Babel such a disruptive event in human organization?  There is “strength in unity”, not in diversity.  When people cannot understand each other, from language or cultural differences, major inefficiencies and fertile ground for conflict are introduced, and this certainly leads to a less stable society.

So, why is it being promoted as such a benefit?  I can only speculate, but I believe it is mainly to weaken the USA to facilitate bringing in the new world order.  Another motive is probably that most immigrants become Democratic voters when they become citizens.

Because diversity is generally not good for our country does not mean that we should discriminate against or despise foreigners, for the Bible says “Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.” Jeremiah 22:3.  Instead, Christians should view it as an opportunity to reach those who otherwise would not be able to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
