Political Correctness (PC) is a doctrine that you can say anything you want to as long as you don’t offend anyone. If there were never any need to say anything offensive, then everyone would be happy and there would have been no need for the First Ammendment to the US Constitution guaranteeing freedom of speech. That is why the First Ammentment was instituted, so that when necessary people could criticize their government and anyone else. Therefore PC, when enforced, is in effect an abrogation of free speech rights.
PC is also the quintisential opposite of “for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” 2 Corinthians 3:6b. Under PC, if you use exactly the right words, then everything is just fine, no matter what your true thoughts or intentions are. And conversely, if you don’t use exactly the right words, then you are condemned no matter how obviously beneficial your intentions might be.
